I work with general life and common mental health problems such as depression, low mood, anxiety and loss. I also work with clients who have been affected by their current or past relationships ; this could be both romantic, platonic or within family structures. I offer a culturally sensitive space as I bring an awareness and understanding to backgrounds and realities that may be difficult to fully explain to others. I bring an understanding not assumptions about how diversity shapes you.

Counselling For Chronic Illnesses
I have lived experience of chronic illnesses, especially those that are invisible to others. Often it impacts on mental health, leaving us feeling a range of emotions which are often misunderstood and difficult to understand; both by ourselves and those around us. Long Covid, Chronic fatigue/ME, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, are some of the areas I work with. Chronic, misunderstood and brushed over conditions such as Adenomyosis, Endometriosis, PMDD, Fibroids and PCOS impact so many of us yet there is a disparity in help for these conditions.
Chronic pain, especially when ‘you look okay’ can be exhausting on many levels. Complex feelings of loss, grief, guilt, uncertainty and anger (to name a few) can take its toll. Navigating the health system, being on long waiting lists, 'convincing' health care providers and being misdiagnosed are frustrating realities that can affect us.
Therapeutic change and empathic communication are not just limited to face to face therapy. Barriers to accessibility and personal choice is why I offer remote sessions. I am qualified and experienced in delivering counselling both via telephone and online.
Often we are unaware that work related stress can deeply affect our personal life as well as our physical and mental health. When faced with a challenging workplace or career, the process of therapy can help put things into perspective. If you are experiencing bullying or harassment at work, it can leave you feeling vulnerable and powerless. We often believe we can separate work from home; however, this is not always the case. Counselling for workplace related challenges helps with recognising and working through what is going on for you because of these stressors.
Talking to a counsellor about stress at work and the feelings you have means you are heard and not judged, perhaps for the first time. I’d like you to consider:
It can be tricky to identify workplace bullying as it can become normalised and accepted within organisations and colleagues. Some examples of bullying in the workplace can be:
